“Oliver!” presented by Desert Stages Theatre runs April 5th - May 5th, 2019
“Oliver!” is a musical adaption of the 1839 Charles Dickens novel Oliver Twist. The show follows malnourished orphan Oliver and his life in the streets of Victorian England. Oliver, the neglected apprentice of an undertaker, escapes to London to find his acceptance amongst a group of petty thieves and pickpockets lead by ringleader Fagin. After being arrested for a theft he did not commit, Oliver is taken in by the kind-hearted Mr. Brownlow, the victim of the theft. Fearing the safety of Oliver’s hideout, Fagin employs the sinister Bill Sikes and Nancy to kidnap Oliver back, threatening the orphan’s chance of discovering the true love of a family.
DST also announces a new partnership with St. Mary’s Food Bank Alliance for a food drive throughout the run of “Oliver!” DST guests are encouraged to bring in non-perishable food items to the box office to receive a $5 discount off their admission. Tickets must be purchased at the box office when bringing in food donations and the discount may not be combined with any other offer or credit towards previously purchased tickets.

Performances of “Oliver” will begin on Friday, April 5 at 7:30 p.m., and end on Sunday, May 5. “Oliver” will play Fridays and Saturdays, at 7:30 p.m. and Saturdays and Sundays at 2 p.m. For more information about performance dates and times please visit DesertStages.org.
